We are currently looking for a Community Equipment Technician to join the team within our Northamptonshire Community Equipment Service Centre. This position plays a crucial role in helping to transform the lives of those in need. As a healthcare equipment provider, Millbrook Healthcare works in partnership with the NHS to supply the necessary equipment and aids to support people in their day to day life. Our community equipment ranges from simple walking frames and crutches to more complex equipment such as beds, hoists and pressure care equipment. We also carry out minor adaptations such as the installation of handrails and grab rails within the home which can make a significant impact in giving people the confidence to live more independently.

This role involves delivery, installation and collection of community equipment within people’s homes and associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools across Northamptonshire. We are open to supporting flexible working requests such as part time working, job shares and flexible hours wherever possible, to support colleagues' lifestyle differences. This role is working in a regulated activity and may be subject to a DBS disclosure, satisfactory references and Social Media Screening.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery, installation and collection of community equipment within people's homes and associated locations (care homes, hospitals, schools).
  • Servicing and repair of equipment where required.
  • Load and unload goods; physical handling may be involved.
  • Customer-focused service and clear communication with service users and colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous relevant experience is preferable; full training will be provided.
  • You must hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years) with no more than 6 points.
  • Ability to load and unload goods, with some heavy lifting.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic DIY skills are advantageous due to the adaptations side of the role.
  • Previous van driving experience would be beneficial.

This role will be part of a Same Day and OOH rota involving weekend cover.

  • Salary: £25,480 + on-call payments.
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 08:30-17:00 or 09:30-18:00.
