We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person to join us in our Devon Community Equipment Service Centre as a Community Health and Engagement Officer (CHEO). As a healthcare equipment provider, Millbrook Healthcare works in partnership with the NHS to supply the necessary equipment and aids to support people in their day-to-day life. Our community equipment ranges from simple walking frames and crutches to more complex equipment such as beds, hoists and pressure care equipment. We also carry out minor adaptations such as the installation of handrails and grab rails within the home which can make a significant impact in giving people the confidence to live more independently.
The CHEO role offers an exciting and unique opportunity that will involve engaging with a variety of stakeholders (including GP Surgeries, Charities, Care Homes and other individuals and organisations) to understand, shape and ultimately improve our service, ensuring customers are at the forefront of service delivery and decision making. You will be pivotal in driving integration and collaboration of the service forward whilst looking at shared understanding of priorities, pathways and supporting joint working initiatives.
You will be:
- Creating and implementing structures to manage key stakeholder relationships
- Designing and leading customer and stakeholder forums
- Coordinating and delivering feedback from stakeholders and customers, which may be obtained in a variety of formats and at different times
- Creating actionable insights into the needs and views on how the service can be improved

- Demonstrable experience of working with multiple stakeholders?
- Evidence of engaging groups of potentially hard to reach customers in a business?
- Great experience in influencing and even better communication skills?
The successful candidate will benefit from an in-depth induction programme into our business. However, a genuine interest in developing links with the local community, the ability to build strong working relationships and be driven by success with a customer focus and analytical flair along with demonstrable experience of developing and obtaining buy-in and embedding customer service strategies, processes and practices in a similar role will set you on the right path.
