We are looking for a Community Equipment PPM Technician to be based out of our Exeter Community Equipment Service. This position plays a crucial role in helping to transform the lives of those in need. As a Healthcare Equipment provider, Millbrook Healthcare works in partnership with the NHS to supply the necessary equipment and aids to support people in their day-to-day life. Our community equipment ranges from simple walking frames and crutches to more complex equipment such as beds, hoists and pressure care equipment. We also carry out minor adaptations such as the installation of handrails and grab rails within the home which can make a significant impact in giving people the confidence to live more independently.
You will be responsible for:
- Carrying maintenance on electrical and hydraulic/lifting actuated equipment out in the community in line with in-house training and current legislation.
- Undertaking pre-delivery inspection of all products and undertaking the delivery and handover of community equipment to a service user at their home and/or other locations, as required.
- Responsible for the collection of community equipment, and on return to the service centre, must be scanned to the quarantine area.
- Carrying out repairs when required to do so.
- Carrying out installation of equipment.
- Assisting with annual stock checks as required.
About you:
- Previous relevant experience is preferable.
- Practical skills preferred and mechanical aptitude an advantage.
- Qualification in electronics or engineering would be desirable or evidence of applying these within previous job role.
- You must hold a full UK driving licence (minimum 3 years) with no more than 6 points.
- You must be able to load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
- Previous van driving experience would be beneficial.
- This role participates in an emergency on-call rota and so flexibility is required.

- 40 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday 08:00 - 17:00.
