We are currently looking for a Community Equipment Technician to join the team within our Devon Community Equipment Service Centre. This position plays a crucial role in helping to transform the lives of those in need. In partnership with the NHS, Millbrook Healthcare supplies a wide range of equipment—from basic walking frames and crutches to more complex beds, hoists, and pressure care devices—and carries out minor adaptations such as installing handrails and grab rails in homes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver, install and collect community equipment at people’s homes, care homes, hospitals and schools across Devon.
- Possibly service and repair equipment.
- Cover same‑day and out‑of‑hours rota shifts, including weekends.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous relevant experience is preferable, but full training will be provided.
- Full UK driving licence (minimum 2 years) with no more than 6 points.
- Ability to load and unload goods, some of which may be heavy.
- Excellent customer‑service and communication skills.
- Basic DIY skills are advantageous.
- Previous van‑driving experience is beneficial.
What We Offer
- £29,741.40 plus £1,053 FTE allowance for working 45 hours per week.
- Hours: 45 hours per week, Tuesday‑Saturday, 11:00‑21:00.
- All tools, uniform, company van with fuel card.
- Up to 33 days holiday (including bank holidays) plus optional 5 unpaid days.
