About Us

Millbrook Business Finance, part of the Millbrook Group, is one of the UK’s fastest-growing commercial finance brokerages — arranging over £50M annually across business loans, asset finance, and more.

With a young, ambitious culture and a reputation for innovation, we’ve earned industry recognition including Best Equipment Finance Provider to Work For (Asset Finance Connect Awards) and Cashflow Broker of the Year (NACFB Awards). We’re proud to be known for both our results and our workplace.

Our Business Finance Division is the engine room of Millbrook, helping SMEs across every sector access fast, flexible, and strategic funding. From asset finance to business loans, merchant cash advances, refinance, and government-backed growth schemes, we support UK businesses with the capital they need to grow, invest, and thrive.

The Role

We’re looking for a driven Account Manager to join our core division. You’ll play a key role in sourcing, structuring, and closing a wide range of commercial finance deals, working across multiple sectors and funding products.

This is a proactive sales role that combines outbound prospecting, and introducer relationship management. You’ll be expected to manage the full deal process — from initial engagement through to completion — and maintain strong relationships with both clients and lenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively contact business owners across the UK to generate new finance opportunities
  • Leverage a database of existing customers and historic finance enquiries to generate new leads
  • Structure and present tailored funding solutions across asset finance, business loans, MCAs, refinance, and government-backed schemes
  • Conduct financial assessments to match clients with suitable lenders
  • Manage the end-to-end funding process — from proposal to drawdown
  • Build and maintain relationships with key introducers including accountants, equipment suppliers, manufacturers, and associations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of lender products, underwriting criteria, and market conditions
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities across Millbrook’s Motor, Property, Vendor, and Professions Finance divisions
  • Log all activities, deal progress, and client interactions accurately in our CRM system
  • Meet and exceed personal revenue targets while contributing to team performance

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary of £30,000 – £40,000 (DOE)
  • Uncapped commission structure with no threshold
  • Flexible working options post probation
  • Enhanced holiday allowance + bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme
  • Structured progression routes as the business continues to grow
  • A collaborative, high-energy working environment with a strong team culture
  • Regular social events, incentives, and seasonal celebrations

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience in commercial finance brokerage or lending
  • Must be able to demonstrate prior success in a like-for-like role
  • Strong understanding of asset finance, business loans, MCAs, refinance, government-backed lending
  • Proven track record in outbound sales, lead conversion, and pipeline management
  • Ability to build trust with clients and communicate funding solutions clearly and effectively
  • Comfortable managing deals from enquiry through to funding
  • Self-starter mentality with a proactive, results-driven approach
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Teachable, motivated, and open to feedback and development
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence using CRM and internal systems
  • A passion for helping UK businesses succeed through better access to finance

Interview Process

Stage One – Introductory Call: A brief conversation to explore your background, experience, and motivations.

Stage Two – Face-to-Face Interview & Presentation: You’ll be asked to present a short plan on how you would build a strong pipeline of SME clients — including your outreach strategy, relationship-building approach, and how you’d aim to hit your revenue targets. You’ll also share why you’re the right fit for Millbrook.
