Millbrook Business Finance is at a pivotal moment in its journey — and we're looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our team. Millbrook Business Finance, part of the Millbrook Group, is one of the UK’s fastest-growing commercial finance brokerages — arranging over £50M annually across business loans, asset finance, and more. With a young, ambitious culture and a reputation for innovation, we’ve earned industry recognition including Best Equipment Finance Provider to Work For (Asset Finance Connect Awards) and Cashflow Broker of the Year (NACFB Awards). We’re proud to be known for both our results and our workplace. We’re now expanding all areas of the business; the objective – become the largest and most comprehensive finance brokerage in the UK. To support this growth, we’re hiring ambitious Senior Business Development Managers to help build long-term partnerships and drive consistent deal flow from new and existing vendors.
The Role
As a Senior BDM, you’ll take a relationship-first approach — identifying partners who can benefit from offering or sourcing finance for their clients. Your focus will be on building trust, adding value, and positioning Millbrook as their go‑to funding partner. This is a consultative sales role centred on long‑term growth, high conversion rates, and scalable success.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact, identify and engage new partners across a diverse range of sectors — including equipment suppliers, manufacturers, dealerships, accountants, consultants, trade associations, and other strategic partners.
- Actively prospect and outbound contact potential clients and partners to build your pipeline.
- Leverage a database of existing partners and historic finance enquiries to generate new leads.
- Present and embed Millbrook’s finance solutions into their sales process.
- Train and support sales teams on how to sell with finance.
- Convert referrals and inbound leads into live, fundable deals.
- Manage your own pipeline and maintain strong introductory relationships.
- Collaborate with the internal sales team to deliver smooth customer journeys.
- Represent Millbrook at industry events, exhibitions, and meetings.
- Log all activity accurately in CRM and internal systems.
- Maintain strong market awareness of financial products, industry trends, and competitor activity.
- Meet and exceed personal revenue targets while contributing to team performance.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a business development role within a B2B finance environment with a focus on asset finance and business loans.
- Demonstrated success in outbound sales and relationship management.
- Proven success in developing and managing commercial partnerships.
- Strong understanding of finance structures, especially asset finance and unsecured loans.
- Comfortable presenting and managing long-term relationships.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A consultative, commercially minded approach to business development.
- High energy, initiative, and ability to work independently.
- Teachable, motivated and open to feedback and development.
- A passion for helping UK businesses succeed through better access to finance.
What You’ll Get
- Competitive salary of £45,000 – £50,000 (DOE).
- Uncapped commission structure with no threshold.
- Flexible working options — office‑based or hybrid (post probation).
- Enhanced holiday allowance + bank holidays.
- Company pension scheme.
- Structured progression routes as the business continues to grow.
- A collaborative, high‑energy working environment with a strong team culture.
- Regular social events, incentives, and seasonal celebration.

- Stage Two – Face‑to‑Face Interview.
