Build Something New at Millbrook
Millbrook Business Finance, part of the Millbrook Group, arranges around £60 million annually across business loans, asset finance and other commercial funding solutions.
We're recruiting for a newly created Partner Finance Sales Manager role as we continue to develop and expand our Partner Finance offering.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded sales professional who enjoys developing people, building partnerships and helping create the resources and processes that drive business growth.
Working closely with our Managing Director and Sales Director, You'll help support the development and implementation of our Partner Finance sales strategy.
You'll also work with our Marketing Director, Operations Director and external partners to develop the tools, resources and processes suppliers need to confidently offer finance to their customers.
A key part of the role will be training, coaching and supporting our Account Management team, helping them identify prospective partners, communicate the benefits of partner finance and successfully onboard new relationships.
The role
- Working with the Managing Director and Sales Director to support the development and delivery of our Partner Finance sales strategy.
- Collaborating with Marketing, Operations and external partners to develop effective partner-facing resources, sales materials and onboarding processes.
- Training, coaching and developing our Account Management team to identify, approach and onboard new partners.
- Equipping salespeople to confidently communicate the commercial benefits of offering finance to suppliers and their customers.
- Supporting Account Managers with prospective partners, meetings and more complex opportunities.
- Demonstrating your own ability to prospect, build relationships and onboard partners, leading by example when required.
- Gathering feedback and continually improving our partner proposition, onboarding processes and supporting resources.
- Monitoring partner acquisition performance and identifying opportunities to improve results.
This is primarily a sales enablement, coaching and business development role, rather than a position focused on managing accounts or transacting finance deals.
Once partners have been successfully onboarded, ongoing relationship management will transfer to the relevant Account Manager. Your focus will be on equipping the team to acquire and develop partners successfully, with ongoing support provided when needed.
What you will bring;
- A strong background in B2B sales, business development or partnership development.
- The ability to coach, train and develop salespeople.
- Confidence engaging with business owners, directors and commercial decision-makers.
- Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with sales, marketing, operations and external stakeholders.
- A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.
- A commercial mindset, with the drive to turn ideas into results.
Experience working within a finance brokerage, or selling finance as a sales aid to help businesses increase sales and improve customer affordability, would be particularly advantageous. Experience in partner finance, vendor finance or asset finance would also be beneficial.
However, we're equally interested in strong B2B sales professionals with transferable skills, the ability to develop others and the commercial drive to help us grow our Partner Finance offering.
What's on Offer?
- Additional financial incentives for each successfully onboarded partner.
- The opportunity to shape a newly created role and influence the development of our Partner Finance offering.
- Direct collaboration with senior leadership.
- The opportunity to develop an established sales team and make a tangible commercial impact.
- A collaborative, ambitious and performance-focused working environment.
This is an office-based role in Northampton, with travel to partner meetings and supplier sites as required.
Interview Process
Stage One - Introductory Call or Teams call
A brief conversation to explore your background, experience, and motivations.
Stage Two - Face-to-Face Interview & Presentation
You’ll be asked to present a short plan on how you would build a strong pipeline of SME clients - including your outreach strategy, relationship-building approach, and how you'd aim to hit your revenue targets. You'll also share why you're the right fit for Millbrook.
Interested?
If you're a commercially driven sales professional who can build relationships, develop people and help us grow our Partner Finance offering, we'd love to hear from you.
