The Role
As Construction Manager - Civils, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of civil works within a designated section of a major UK nuclear project. Your duties will include logistics planning, programme management, monitoring site activities, and liaising with authorities and contractors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence. You will support the delivery team by evaluating and mitigating risks and issues, producing detailed reports, and maintaining excellent communication across all site functions. Your daily actions will involve coordinating with multiple stakeholders, leading safety inspections, attending key meetings, and ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Proven experience in civil or construction management within large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally in the energy sector.
- Extensive knowledge of construction sequencing, resource management, and safety regulation compliance.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Construction Management, or equivalent vocational training and experience.
- SMSTS or IOSH qualification.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
