The Opportunity
This role provides the chance to lead a major section of one of the UK’s flagship infrastructure projects, directly supporting the UK’s Net Zero ambitions. The Role
As a Senior Delivery Leader, you will oversee the delivery of large-scale civil works on a prestigious project, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. Your responsibilities include managing project teams and stakeholders, coordinating multi-disciplinary efforts, and driving continuous improvement. You will report to the Site Delivery Director, acting with delegated Principal Contractor responsibilities, and will be pivotal in delivering major civil structures, networks, and buildings within the project framework. Your daily actions will involve planning, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including CDM obligations.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
- Proven delivery leadership within complex, highly regulated environments, preferably within nuclear or heavy civils sectors.
- Strong background in reinforced concrete, formwork systems, and major structures.
- Experience with EPCM delivery, contract management, procurement, and commercial close-out.
- Robust project controls skills including risk, schedule, change, and earned value management.
- Knowledge of nuclear site licensing regimes such as ONR/EA, and safety culture principles.
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management.
- Chartered Engineer status (ICE/IStructE/CIOB) preferred.
- Project management certification (APM, PRINCE2) beneficial.
