An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Agent to join a major infrastructure contractor delivering a large-scale renewable energy project in the north of Scotland. This role will support the successful delivery of complex civil engineering and construction works within a highly regulated environment. Ideally, you will have delivered on civil engineering projects in excess of £20m.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for leading site operations, managing subcontractors, being commercially aware, ensuring programme delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contract & Construction Management
- Lead site construction activities and ensure compliance with all legal, contractual, and company procedures.
- Manage subcontractors and suppliers to achieve programme and quality objectives.
- Coordinate construction activities with wider project delivery teams.
- Project Management
- Produce and manage construction programmes in collaboration with project planning teams.
- Monitor productivity, progress, and resource allocation across the project.
- Identify risks, delays, and inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Support the development and implementation of project management plans and site documentation.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure project documentation is accurately maintained within company systems.
- Coordinate project handover documentation and completion records.
Proven experience working as a Site Agent or Senior Site Supervisor within heavy civil engineering, infrastructure, energy, or major construction projects. Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multidisciplinary construction activities. Strong understanding of NEC contracts and commercial awareness. Excellent knowledge of construction health & safety legislation and CDM Regulations. Ability to manage programmes, resources, and site performance effectively. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to drive project delivery.
CSCS Management Card (black card), SMSTS or equivalent, HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred. Full UK Driving Licence.
