We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Warehouse & Logistics Manager to oversee all on-site logistics, storage coordination, and material movements for a major operational/project site based in Inverness. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the safe receipt, storage, control, and distribution of equipment and materials across site operations while ensuring deliveries are planned efficiently and aligned with project requirements. This role will play a key part in coordinating suppliers, transport providers, warehouse operations, and site teams to maintain smooth operational flow and minimise delays.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in warehouse logistics, construction or industrial site operations, SAP systems, and health & safety management, with a NEBOSH qualification essential.

  • Warehouse & Storage Management
    • Manage all on-site warehouse and storage operations.
    • Oversee the safe receipt, unloading, inspection, and storage of materials and equipment.
    • Maintain effective stock control and inventory management processes.
    • Coordinate material issuance to operational and project teams.
  • Site Logistics Coordination
    • Liaise with suppliers, transport companies, and internal stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and site access requirements.
    • Ensure all deliveries are sequenced appropriately to support operational and project timelines.
    • Coordinate crane lifts, offloading activities, and material handling operations where required.
    • Monitor logistics performance and proactively resolve delivery or storage issues.
  • SAP & Inventory Control
    • Utilise SAP systems for goods receipt, stock tracking, inventory reporting, and material management.
    • Maintain accurate records of all stock movements and warehouse transactions.
    • Produce inventory and logistics reports for management and project teams.
    • Support procurement and materials planning functions.
  • Ensure all warehouse and logistics activities comply with site health & safety procedures and UK legislation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support safe systems of work for storage and material handling activities.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards across warehouse and storage areas.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all logistics operations.
  • Team & Contractor Management
    • Supervise logistics coordinators and contractors as required.
    • Coordinate daily activities and workload planning.
    • Support training, inductions, and performance management activities.

Proven experience in warehouse, logistics, or materials management within construction, engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale operational environments. Strong experience managing on-site storage and logistics operations. SAP experience for inventory and materials management. NEBOSH qualification. Excellent understanding of health & safety requirements within warehouse and logistics operations. Strong organisational and planning skills. Experience coordinating suppliers, deliveries, and transport logistics. Competent in Microsoft Office applications. Full UK driving licence. Forklift or material handling certification. Experience working on major infrastructure, energy, or industrial projects. Knowledge of lifting operations and logistics planning. CPCS, IOSH, or additional HSE qualifications.
