Do you have proven experience developing and managing tender or project programmes using Primavera P6 within a construction or infrastructure environment? This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 contractor within a high-performing work-winning team, supporting major infrastructure, civils, and construction projects. Due to continued growth and an expanding pipeline of complex bids, the business is looking to strengthen its planning capability within the pre-construction function.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project and tender programmes
  • Interpret tender documentation and translate requirements into structured programmes
  • Contribute to bid winning strategies through programme development and sequencing
  • Resource and cost load programmes where required
  • Update, monitor, and report progress against live project programmes
  • Introduce and manage change within project schedules
  • Identify, assess, and integrate risk into programmes
  • Ensure programme robustness through appropriate validation techniques
  • Produce programme outputs and reports for stakeholders in a range of formats
  • Support post tender negotiations and ensure effective programme handover to project teams
  • Collaborate with project teams, designers, clients, and subcontractors
  • Provide planning support and short-term programme advice to construction teams
  • Evaluate supply chain programmes and integrate them into the main programme
  • Establish and maintain project controls reporting

You will have the following qualifications & experience:

  • Proven experience as a Planner within construction, infrastructure, or a Tier 1 contractor environment
  • Strong experience in tender planning and supporting bid teams
  • Advanced proficiency in planning software, particularly Primavera P6
  • Demonstrable experience developing, analysing, and managing project programmes
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and outputs
  • Experience in programme analysis, including risk evaluation and mitigation
  • Good understanding of commercial and contractual requirements within construction projects
  • Ability to manage multiple programmes and deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present programme information clearly
  • Experience engaging with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders

It’s great if you also have the following:

  • Experience working on major infrastructure, civils, or energy projects
  • Ability to coach or mentor junior planners
  • Experience contributing to written tender submissions
  • Knowledge of project controls and reporting frameworks
  • Familiarity with NEC or other standard forms of contract
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
