The Role
As Lead Civil Engineer, you will oversee a vital component of a significant new-build project at the Sellafield site, specialising in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure. Your responsibilities include planning civil design scopes, managing delivery schedules, leading a team of engineers and designers, and ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory, and project-specific standards. You will coordinate cross-discipline collaboration, develop 3D models and detailed drawings, and provide technical oversight throughout the project’s lifecycle.
Qualifications & experience
- A civil or structural engineering degree, with chartered status preferred.
- Proven, extensive experience in civil design, including highways, drainage, earthworks, and underground services.
- Expert proficiency in civil design software such as Infodrainage, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD.
- Experience working within regulated environments or industrial sectors; nuclear experience is highly desirable, but other industrial backgrounds will be considered.
- Experience leading teams, managing project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations.
