How do you ensure that components remain preserved, protected, and compliant throughout their lifecycle from delivery to handover? Can you describe your experience implementing and managing Care & Maintenance Plans in a regulated environment, and how you ensure adherence to cleanliness and preservation standards? The Asset Management Lead is responsible for coordinating, executing, and overseeing care and maintenance activities for all Systems, Structures, and Components (SSC) within scope. This includes the full lifecycle from receipt and storage through installation and up to handover. The role ensures that all components remain in a fit-for-purpose condition, compliant with relevant standards, cleanliness requirements, and contractual obligations.
This is a full-time, on-site position (Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week) offered on a permanent basis.
Your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Care & Maintenance Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain Care & Maintenance (C&M) Plans and Schedules in line with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise C&M activities across delivery, storage, and post-installation phases.
- Ensure correct application of cleanliness classifications, zoning, and storage conditions in accordance with RCC-M Section F6000 or equivalent standards.
- Preservation & Inspection
- Manage inspection, preservation, and maintenance frequencies for all components, ensuring timely execution and accurate documentation.
- Oversee zone transfer controls, segregation of cleanliness classes, and compliance with Foreign Material Exclusion (FME) requirements.
- Verify environmental controls (humidity, temperature, protective covers, sealing, etc.) and initiate corrective actions where conditions fall below required standards.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with QA/QC, Stores, Construction, and other site teams to ensure components remain protected and preserved throughout their lifecycle.
- Liaise with inspectors and stakeholders to maintain visibility and compliance of preservation and cleanliness activities.
- Records & Compliance
- Maintain auditable C&M records including plans, schedules, logs, and inspection reports for inclusion in Lifetime Quality Records (LTQR).
- Support audits, surveillance activities, and handover inspections, ensuring all components are free from degradation, contamination, and damage at turnover.
Itβs great if you also have the following:
- Proven experience in care & maintenance, quality, asset preservation, or similar roles within a regulated environment (e.g., nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace).
- Demonstrated ability to manage preservation and cleanliness controls aligned with RCC-M or comparable high-integrity standards.
- Strong background in coordinating cross-functional activities involving QA/QC, construction, and stores teams.
- Experience preparing and managing C&M Plans, Schedules, and associated inspection records.
- Familiarity with LTQR compilation and lifetime records expectations.
The setting for the role:
- Engineering or technical qualification in Mechanical, Welding, Quality, or a related discipline (HNC or above preferred).
- CCNSG Safety Passport (mandatory).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience using document management or quality systems such as Teamcenter, Proarc, SharePoint, or similar.
- Knowledge of cleanliness requirements, asset management obligations, and high-integrity quality arrangements.
