The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering projects across highly regulated industries.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of process, industrial, and complex engineering projects, covering the full project lifecycle from concept and feasibility through to commissioning and handover.
The successful candidate will be a self-sufficient engineer who can take ownership of work packages, lead technical deliverables, and support multidisciplinary project teams.
There will also be opportunities to deputise for Lead Engineers and engage directly with clients and stakeholders.
Your duties and responsibilities will be Deliver Control & Instrumentation engineering activities across all project phases, including: Feasibility studies Front-end engineering and design Detailed design Commissioning support Produce and review: Instrument data sheets Specifications Schedules Design documentation Technical reports Support multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects.
Take ownership of allocated work packages and ensure delivery to quality, schedule, and budget requirements.
Interface with clients, vendors, and site teams where required.
Support and deputise for Lead Engineers when necessary.
Participate in site visits, surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities.
You will have the following qualifications & experience: Significant experience delivering full Control & Instrumentation design packages within highly regulated industries.
Strong understanding of C&I engineering principles across the project lifecycle.
Experience working within sectors such as: Nuclear, Defence, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Life Sciences, Energy, Other highly regulated process industries Experience with hazardous area equipment selection and associated installation design requirements.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical delivery.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance.
