The Role As Principal Civil/Structural Engineer, you will lead the design and delivery of civil and structural refurbishment projects for subway systems within a critical infrastructure setting. Your responsibilities include assessing existing structures, developing remediation strategies, managing design teams, and ensuring compliance with technical standards and safety regulations. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, coordinate with external design houses, and support the lifecycle of design development to deliver high-quality solutions. You will have the following qualifications & experience: A proven degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, with Chartered status or extensive relevant experience. Expert knowledge of civil and structural design in regulated environments, preferably in Nuclear or Defence sectors. Strong familiarity with safety standards, legislation, and regulatory compliance including CDM regulations. Extensive experience in managing complex design projects through their lifecycle, with capability to provide technical guidance and oversight. Demonstrable experience working within BIM environments and digital design tools.
