Site Manager  Project: Wastewater Treatment plant projects  Location: North Wales – sites between Anglesey and Colwyn Bay Duration: 6–12 months  Working Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day) Rate: £350–£400 per day, Ltd Company (outside ir35 subject to an ir35 assessment) or Umbrella Reporting To: Project Manager / Framework Manager Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Manager / Site Agent to support the delivery of a wastewater infrastructure project across a portfolio of sites throughout North Wales. The project focuses on monitoring the duration and frequency of emergency overflow operations across multiple wastewater sites. The objective is to deliver the surveys, investigations and associated monitoring solutions required to improve understanding of overflow performance, support regulatory compliance and provide robust operational data to inform future investment decisions. The successful candidate will provide strong site leadership and coordination across multiple locations, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme and in accordance with client, environmental, quality and regulatory requirements. The role will involve a combination of site surveys, investigations, engineering coordination, programme management, stakeholder engagement and delivery of project documentation and associated deliverables required to support the ongoing management of emergency overflow assets. Key Responsibilities Site & Project Delivery Lead the day-to-day coordination and management of activities across multiple wastewater sites. Coordinate site surveys, investigations and implementation activities associated with emergency overflow monitoring. Ensure works are planned and delivered safely within live operational wastewater environments. Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning interfaces where applicable. Manage site teams, subcontractors and specialist contractors to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Coordinate site activities around operational constraints, access requirements, isolations and shutdowns where required. Identify, manage and escalate construction, operational, safety and delivery risks. Ensure activities are delivered in accordance with the agreed programme and proactively manage delays and recovery actions. Support testing, completion, commissioning and handover activities.Monitoring & Investigation Programme Coordinate the delivery of surveys and investigations across a portfolio of wastewater assets. Support the implementation of appropriate monitoring solutions to establish the duration and frequency of emergency overflow operations. Work closely with engineering and technical teams to ensure site information is accurately captured and communicated. Ensure site findings, survey information and monitoring data are appropriately recorded and incorporated into project deliverables. Support the identification of site constraints, existing asset conditions and requirements for future works. Contribute to the development of information required to support operational decision-making and future investment planning.Programme & Coordination Support programme management, short-term planning and progress monitoring. Coordinate activities across multiple sites and ensure priorities are effectively managed. Liaise with Project Management, Engineering, Design, Commercial, Commissioning and Operational teams. Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or resource constraints. Produce accurate progress updates and contribute to project review meetings. Maintain effective records of site activities, investigations, issues, actions and completed works.Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality Maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance. Ensure all RAMS, permits, temporary works controls and safe systems of work are implemented, reviewed and complied with. Ensure activities comply with CDM 2015, relevant statutory requirements, client procedures and SHEQ requirements. Demonstrate visible safety leadership and challenge unsafe acts, poor standards and non-compliant behaviours. Ensure appropriate site controls are in place for working within live wastewater and operational environments. Support quality inspections, testing and handover activities in accordance with project and client requirements.Stakeholder Management Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, operational teams, engineers, designers, subcontractors and other project stakeholders. Lead and contribute to site, coordination, safety, subcontractor and progress meetings. Communicate site issues, risks, progress and requirements clearly and professionally. Coordinate effectively with operational teams to minimise disruption to live wastewater assets. Promote a collaborative and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.Essential Experience & Qualifications Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager, Site Agent or similar site leadership role within the water and/or wastewater sector. Proven experience delivering works within live operational water or wastewater environments. Experience managing multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors. Strong understanding of construction methodologies involving civil, mechanical and electrical works. Experience coordinating activities across multiple sites. Experience working around operational constraints, shutdowns and isolations. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, temporary works coordination and site logistics. Good understanding of water industry standards, specifications and regulatory requirements. Experience coordinating interfaces between civils, MEICA, commissioning, engineering and operational stakeholders. Strong programme awareness, including the ability to monitor progress, identify delays and implement recovery actions. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, programmes and design information. Ability to identify, manage and escalate construction, safety and operational risks. Competent in Microsoft Office and digital construction/project reporting systems.Required Certifications SMSTS Appropriate CSCS card – Supervisor or Manager level First Aid at Work or Emergency First Aid at Work Demonstrable competence in accordance with CDM Regulation 8, supported by relevant qualifications, experience and ongoing assessment.Desirable Experience Experience working on wastewater overflow, monitoring, telemetry, instrumentation or asset-performance projects. Experience undertaking or coordinating wastewater site surveys and investigations. Familiarity with WIMES, Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI) and Environment Agency expectations, where relevant to the project. Experience working under NEC contracts. Experience coordinating monitoring or data-collection solutions within operational wastewater assets.
