The Opportunity

We are hiring additional Portfolio Managers to further strengthen our front desk and accelerate high-quality revenue growth across key verticals of the business. This role is designed for someone early in their FX career who wants portfolio ownership, accountability for delivering their own results, structure, and progression in a fast paced environment. Portfolio Managers at Millbank FX are responsible for originating new mid-market corporate relationships, trading and managing those clients, and growing high-value FX portfolios. You will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and operate within a clearly defined commercial framework focused on long-term portfolio value.

What You Will Do

  • Originate new mid-market corporate clients (£3m–£100m annual FX volumes)
  • Build your own FX portfolio with full commercial accountability
  • Price, trade, and manage client FX requirements within defined risk and margin frameworks
  • Deliver tailored FX risk management solutions aligned to client objectives
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, cashflows, and currency exposures
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and accurate revenue forecasting
  • Grow revenue through wallet share expansion and portfolio quality.

In the early phase of the role, the focus is new business origination. Over time, revenue compounds through portfolio ownership and disciplined management.

What You Will Bring

  • ~1–3 years’ FX experience
  • ~ Direct exposure to originating new corporate business
  • Confidence engaging with CFOs, Finance Directors, and senior stakeholders
  • A commercial mindset with the discipline to constantly improve

  • Comfort operating in a high-standards, feedback-driven environment
  • Able to take a consultative approach and listen to a clients needs
  • Confidence in being able to challenge C-suite executives to preconceived beliefs around FX

Within 12 months, you will:

  • Own a clean, diversified FX portfolio with recurring revenue
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and commercial visibility
  • Demonstrate margin discipline across all traded activity
  • Convert new business into retained, high-quality client relationships
  • Operate independently within Millbank’s commercial framework
  • Be trusted as a revenue owner rather than a transaction chaser
