About the Practice: Mill House Veterinary Surgery and Hospital, part of IVC Evidensia, is a small animal 1st opinion and referral hospital with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities.

Role Overview: We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to provide general clinical veterinary practice, perform surgeries and support a varied caseload in a busy first‑opinion setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver client‑focused clinical veterinary care.
  • Consult patients and manage inpatient, consulting and theatre duties.
  • Perform soft tissue, orthopedic and ophthalmology surgeries, as well as assist in internal medicine, radiology, dermatology and acupuncture cases.
  • Utilise advanced equipment, including CT, laparoscopy, digital X‑ray, digital dental X‑ray, and other diagnostic imaging technologies.
  • Participate in referrals and maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of nurses and support staff.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience.
  • Certificates in ECC, soft tissue, and ophthalmology are welcomed but not essential.
  • Strong client‑facing skills and a passion for veterinary medicine.

Work‑Life Balance: Typical day‑time shifts involve half a day of consultation and half a day of theatre. Rota is flexible, with full‑time (38 hours per week) and part‑time options available. The rota is tailored to the candidate’s preferred working times.
