Role Summary: As General Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for the entire portfolio. You will lead, motivate, and supervise management teams, setting high service standards across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with SOPs, create a cooperative working environment, and personally handle customer complaints.
- Stock Management: Oversee stock checks, provide weekly reports to the DoL, and regularly update SOPs.
- Staff Management: Responsible for recruitment, training, appraisals, and motivation. Ensure rota compliance and avoid employing agency staff except in emergencies.
- Menu Costing: Oversee menu costing and itemization, constantly reviewing product prices. Collaborate with head chefs to select suppliers, focusing on quality and local sourcing.
- Stock Control: Maintain agreed stock levels, label and rotate stock, minimize waste, and ensure daily paperwork completion.
- Health & Safety: Work closely with HR on health and safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
- Financial Management: Prepare and agree on operating plans, review monthly statements, and provide commentary on deviations.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in managing and running a team in a similar operation.
- Knowledge of business management principles and practices.
- Passion for high-quality service, food, and beverage standards.
- Experience in banqueting and hotel management.
- Familiarity with EPOS applications, specifically Guestline Rezlynx.
- Excellent decision-making, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Ability to deliver creative solutions and attention to detail.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
