Venues:
- Bradleys Aroma : A 170-seater Sports Bar serving traditional English food.
- Aroma : A cosmopolitan daytime eatery with 40 covers for dine-in and takeaway.
- Milano’s : An 80-cover modern 5* Mediterranean restaurant with additional al fresco dining and a ‘New York’ style Cocktail Bar.
- Churchill’s Hotel : A new boutique hotel with 19 bedrooms.
- FSEC : Fylde Sports & Education Centre with sports pitches and facilities for functions.
Role Summary:
As General Manager, you will have full P&L responsibility for the entire portfolio. You will lead, motivate, and supervise management teams, setting high service standards across all outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
You’ll ensure compliance with SOPs, creating a cooperative working environment and personally handling customer complaints. You’ll oversee stock checks, provide weekly reports to the DoL, and regularly update SOPs.
For staff management, you’ll be responsible for recruitment, training, appraisals, and motivation. You’ll ensure rota compliance and never employ agency staff except in emergencies.
You’ll oversee menu costing and itemization, constantly reviewing product prices. You’ll work with head chefs to select suppliers, aiming for quality and local sourcing.
In stock control, you’ll maintain agreed levels, label and rotate stock, minimize waste, and ensure paperwork is completed daily.
You’ll work closely with HR on health and safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.
Financially, you’ll prepare and agree on operating plans, review monthly statements, and provide commentary on deviations.
Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in managing and running a team in a similar operation.
- Knowledge of business management principles and practices.
- Passion for high-quality service, food, and beverage standards.
- Experience in banqueting and hotel management.
- Familiarity with EPOS applications, specifically Guestline Rezlynx.
- Excellent decision-making, coaching, and organizational skills.
- Ability to deliver creative solutions and attention to detail.
- Team player with strong communication skills.
