Mill & Brae is seeking an experienced and reliable Housekeeper to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation our guests expect. The position involves cleaning guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and public areas, working both independently and as part of a small team. Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise guest bedrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces according to established standards
  • Change bed linen, replenish amenities, and ensure all surfaces are spotless and organised
  • Hoovering, mopping, dusting and deep cleaning tasks
  • Emptying bins and managing waste disposal
  • Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
  • Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
  • Assist with laundry duties and stock rotation as required
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment is used correctly and stored securely after use
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with guests and colleagues

Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably a minimum of 2 years experience
  • Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for cleanliness and organisation
