Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care β Assisting with washing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene.
- Medication Management β Administering medication according to care plans and policies.
- Mobility Support β Helping residents move around safely, including transferring them from bed to wheelchair, or assisting with walking.
- Meal Assistance and Feeding β assisting with eating, assisting with hydration and ensuring proper nutrition.
- Household Tasks β Performing light housekeeping duties like laundry, cleaning, and tidying.
- Companionship β Providing social interaction, emotional support, and a listening ear.
- Monitoring Health β Observing and reporting any changes in a residents physical or mental health to relevant colleagues and healthcare professionals.
- Assistance with Activities β Helping residents participate in activities they enjoy, such as hobbies, social events, and outings.
- Updating Care Plans β Ensuring that changes in the needs of residents are passed on to the management team of the home and documentation is updated to reflect these changes.
- Following Care Plans β Adhering to specific care plans developed to meet individual needs.
- Communication β Effectively communicating with the resident, their family, medical professionals and other members of the home team.
