Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting on behalf of a well‑established residential care home in Weston-super-Mare for an experienced and committed Senior Care Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a senior care professional to take on added responsibility within a supportive team, helping to deliver high standards of care to elderly residents.
Hours: Average 24 hours per week on a weekly rota. Alternate weekend working required. Shift patterns: 08:00–14:00 and 14:00–20:00. On‑call responsibilities shared between the senior team.
Pay Rate: £14.25 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the home alongside management.
- Leading shifts and supervising care staff.
- Administering medication in line with training and policies.
- Ensuring high standards of person‑centred care at all times.
- Acting as a senior point of contact for staff, residents, and families.
- Maintaining accurate care documentation and contributing to care planning.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant or Team Leader.
- Medication trained.
- Experience within elderly residential care.
- QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care, or working towards this qualification.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- A compassionate and professional approach to care.
