An exciting opportunity has opened for a talented and experienced individual to join our Costa Coffee site in Avonmouth as a Transport First Line Manager. You will play a key role in ensuring that our driving team delivers a first‑class professional delivery service. You will manage the driving team through an industry‑leading telematics system and a culture of continuous improvement. This role is offered on a permanent, full‑time basis and normally follows a 4‑from‑8 shift pattern (17:30/18:00 – 05:30/06:00). Some flexibility at the beginning and end of the shift for handovers is required.

We will offer a salary of up to £42,475.20 per annum (inclusive of night shift allowance) and 20 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). Typical Day Responsibilities
- Ensure the fleet complies with legislation and is maintained to be roadworthy
- Coach drivers, alongside the driver trainer, in remaining compliant with the WTD and transport legislation to retain the Operators Licence and ensure regulations are adhered to
- Maintain Food Safety and BRC standards as required by regulation
- Apply HACCP food safety guidelines and maintain all related compliances
- Ensure all H&S obligations are met, providing a legal and safe working environment
Requirements to Succeed at GXO
- Previous experience in a transport environment with some experience of WMS systems
- Knowledge and experience with transport compliance is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills
- An ability to grow alongside and develop within a small but dynamic team
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
