We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Middlesbrough from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term supply position, offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ambitious ECT looking to develop their career within a supportive and well-established department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 teaching depending on experience. You will have a passion for your subject and the ability to motivate students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
Daily rate: £150 - £260 a day (depending on experience & teacher payscale)
The Role:
- Teaching Geography across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons.
- Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress.
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting the wider aims and ethos of the school.
- Participating in departmental meetings and school activities where required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Geography within a UK secondary school.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all students.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
