Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Leigh (WN7) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Year 6 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting immediately. This role will be a temporary position until May half-term 2026, with a view to transitioning to a permanent role.
This Year 6 Teaching Assistant position involves working one-to-one with a Year 6 child who has Autism and Complex Needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and highly adaptable to the individual learning needs of the child. You will play a key role in supporting the pupil’s educational and emotional development within a structured and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism and Complex Needs
- Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
- Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
