We are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Worksop that is looking to appoint a dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom while working alongside experienced teachers and supportive colleagues.

The Role

As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative lessons.
  • Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups to help them achieve their learning goals.
  • Provide targeted support for children with additional learning needs, including SEND where required.
  • Assist with phonics, reading, writing and maths interventions.
  • Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils' confidence and independence.
  • Prepare classroom resources and assist with day-to-day classroom organisation.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Has recent experience working within a UK primary school.
  • Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum and classroom practices.
  • Has experience supporting children with SEND (desirable).
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable and committed to helping every child succeed.

Essential Requirements
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Recent experience working within a UK primary school.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Two professional references covering the last two years.
  • Right to work in the UK.
