Milk Education is recruiting a Graduate Learning Mentor to join a fantastic primary school in Whitley Bay from September 2026.
This is an ideal opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while supporting children academically, socially and emotionally before progressing into teacher training or other education-based careers.
Your Responsibilities
- Support pupils throughout the school day in class and during interventions
- Deliver small group learning activities alongside the class teacher
- Build pupils' confidence and encourage engagement with learning
- Provide additional support to children with varying learning needs
- Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to ensure every child succeeds
We’re Looking For
- A graduate (all degree subjects considered)
- Previous experience working with children is desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to learn
- Passionate about making a positive impact in education
