Milk Education is seeking a committed and proactive Reception Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary school in Sefton (L22 area). This role is ideal for someone passionate about raising confidence and learning with children at the start of their school journey. The role is a full-time, long term position starting in September until December.
About the Role as Reception Teaching Assistant:
- Provide general support in the classroom and support the teacher to provide fun and engaging lessons.
- Support learners with reading, phonics, writing and maths.
- Work 1:1 and with small groups to close learning gaps.
- Track progress and work closely with teaching staff to plan supportive strategies.
- Encourage confidence, motivation, and positive study habits.
- Assist with classroom learning when required.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children within an education, social care, community, nursery or similar sector.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students.
- A passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
