Milk Education are recruiting purpose-driven, ambitious Supply Teachers to join our Primary Schools in Wakefield to work on a long-term, short-term or day-to-day basis. You’ll be joining inclusive modern schools around the Wakefield area as a Supply Teacher. This is open to ECTs or experienced educators to join fantastic schools that we work with to support pupils in reaching their potential!
What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a calm, focused learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans or adapt quickly when plans are unavailable, across a range of year groups and subjects.
- Demonstrate professionalism through punctuality, appropriate conduct, and adherence to school policies.
- Communicate effectively with pupils and staff and provide clear handover notes detailing the day’s progress and any issues.
Essential Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant Teaching Degree or Equivalent - Usually a Bachelor of Education (BEd), BA/BSc with QTS, or a PGCE with QTS.
- Enhanced DBS Check (Disclosure and Barring Service) - Must be current (usually updated within the last year) and ideally on the Update Service to allow schools to check status online.
