The Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)

  • ADHD

  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

  • Moderate to Complex Learning Difficulties

  • Physical and sensory needs

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups

  • Helping to deliver engaging and inclusive learning activities

  • Promoting confidence, independence, and positive behaviour

  • Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families

  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

  • Assisting with classroom preparation and daily routines

Previous experience working with children or vulnerable adults is beneficial but not essential. We value transferable skills gained through volunteering, coaching, mentoring, youth work, care, customer service, or other people-focused roles.
