Milk Education are recruiting a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Unqualified Teaching Assistant to work across a range of SEN Schools in the Middlesbrough and Darlington areas. You will be supporting pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties, within inclusive and nurturing school environments. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in SEN education and make a meaningful difference to pupils’ daily lives.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs on a one-to-one and small group basis
  • Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and emotional regulation
  • Assisting pupils with learning, communication and social development
  • Supporting personal care needs where required
  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement individual education and support plans

Essential Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
  • Patience, empathy and a positive attitude
  • Previous experience working with children or vulnerable individuals (desirable but not essential)
  • Willingness to learn and follow guidance from teachers and SEN professionals
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
