We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our Outstanding primary school, supporting pupils in Key Stage 1. This is an excellent opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about early learning and eager to work in a supportive, high-performing school environment.

About the Role

As a Primary Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils’ learning and development. You will help create a positive, engaging classroom environment and provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, ensuring all children can thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging KS1 lessons

Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning

Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development

Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays

Observe, support, and report on pupil progress where required

Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff

Requirements

Experience working with children in a primary school setting (KS1 preferred)

A caring, patient, and proactive approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to support behaviour positively and consistently

A passion for supporting early learning and child development

Relevant TA qualification xiskglj desirable but not essential
