Milk Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner schools in the Bolton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting them to reach their full potential both academically and personally.
As a Special Needs TA, you’ll be working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide one-to-one or small group assistance to pupils with additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social and emotional challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons.
- Encourage positive learning behaviours and help pupils develop social and emotional skills.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
- Support pupils with personal care needs (if required).
- Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting).
- A patient, caring and empathetic nature.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Dedicated consultant to support you every step of the way.
