Milk Education are working with an Ofsted Outstanding specialist provision in KT15 that supports students aged 11–19 years with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This Teaching Assistant role involves supporting students and class teachers in all aspects of the school day. You will work both on a one-to-one basis and with small groups, helping students to engage positively with learning and manage their emotions effectively.

Hours of Work: 08:30am – 16:00pm, Monday to Friday

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long-term with the opportunity to go permanent

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with ASC and SEMH across the curriculum
  • Working 1:1 and with small groups to encourage engagement and progress
  • Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
  • Assisting the class teacher with daily activities and classroom management
  • Preparing resources and maintaining an organised learning environment
  • Contributing to outdoor learning, enrichment activities, and life skills sessions

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:

  • Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
  • Patient, nurturing, and able to build strong relationships
  • Reliable, flexible, and confident in a classroom environment
  • Experienced in working within an educational or care setting
  • Creative, proactive, and able to use initiative
  • Holds (or is working towards) a relevant education or SEN qualification (preferred but not essential)
