About the Role:\\n\\nWe are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our forward-thinking secondary school in Chester. The ideal candidate will be passionate about language learning and capable of teaching one or more modern foreign languages—typically French and/or Spanish—across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\nPlan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in one or more modern foreign languages (e.g. French, Spanish, German).\\n\\nDevelop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in the target language, fostering confidence and fluency.\\n\\nDifferentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring progress and achievement for students of all abilities.\\n\\nPrepare students for internal and external assessments, including GCSE and A-Level exams, in line with exam board requirements.\\n\\nCollaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and cross-curricular initiatives.\\n\\nPromote cultural awareness and a love of languages through dynamic teaching, enrichment opportunities, and international links.\\n\\nMaintain high standards of behaviour and classroom organisation in line with school expectations.\\n\\nEngage with parents, carers, and colleagues to support student learning and wellbeing.\\n\\nPerson Specification:\\n\\nEssential:\\n\\nQualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.\\n\\nA degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a related subject.\\n\\nAbility to teach at least one MFL (French and/or Spanish preferred).\\n\\nA strong understanding of the MFL curriculum and assessment frameworks at KS3 and KS4.\\n\\nExcellent classroom management and communication skills.\\n\\nA commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.\\n\\nDesirable:\\n\\nExperience teaching both French and Spanish.\\n\\nExperience teaching at A-Level or equivalent post-16 qualifications.\\n\\nFamiliarity with exam boards such as AQA or Edexcel.\\n\\nInterest in running international trips, exchanges, or language clubs.\\n\\nWhy Join Us?\\n\\nA supportive, innovative MFL department with a commitment to excellence.\\n\\nStrong professional development and CPD opportunities.\\n\\nA collaborative and caring school environment in the heart of Chester.\\n\\nA focus on staff wellbeing and work-life balance.\\n\\nto apply please meail me on or apply below
