We are seeking dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to work across schools in the Sunderland area. This fulfilling role involves delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils of varying abilities, and helping create a calm, productive classroom where every student feels valued and motivated to learn.
You’ll work closely with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning and provide a supportive presence for students across a range of subjects.
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (flexible supply work)
Pay: (depends on experience)
What You Need
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive, professional attitude and commitment to inclusive education
- The ability to provide two recent references
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects to year groups from KS3 to KS5 or within your subject specialism. Create a positive, structured learning environment. Support pupils’ academic progress and engagement. Adapt teaching approaches to suit a variety of learning needs. Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity for learners. Provide feedback on pupil progress where required.
