Milk Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of primary schools in South Manchester, Trafford and Stockport from September. We work closely with a variety of welcoming and inclusive schools that are looking for experienced HLTAs to support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Whether you’re looking for a long-term placement, day-to-day flexibility, or the opportunity to gain experience in different school settings, we’d love to hear from you. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident and adaptable HLTAs who enjoy making a positive impact in the classroom and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within the classroom to help pupils make excellent progress
- Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups and whole classes
- Lead whole-class learning sessions and provide classroom cover when required
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff and other professionals to meet pupils’ needs
- Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development
- Contribute to creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For
- Must hold HLTA Status or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Must have experience and confidence leading whole-class learning sessions and delivering pre-planned lessons
- Must have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly KS1 and KS2
- Must be able to work independently and use initiative when supporting teaching and learning
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to working in different school environments
