Milk Education is seeking a dedicated Secondary History Teacher to work in a secondary school in the South Tyneside area to start in September. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging History lessons, support pupils of varying abilities, and help maintain a calm, positive learning environment where every student feels motivated to succeed. You will work closely with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning across KS3–KS5 History.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • ECTs welcome to apply
  • Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A proactive, professional attitude with a commitment to inclusive education
  • Ability to provide two recent references

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned History lessons across KS3–KS5
  • Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment
  • Support pupils' academic progress and engagement in History
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress where required
