This rewarding role is perfect for qualified Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children with their academic, social and emotional development.

You will play a key role in helping pupils thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

  • Your Main Responsibilities
  • Support children with a range of learning, communication and developmental needs.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils access learning.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Support children with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language needs and SEMH.
  • Assist with classroom activities, interventions and learning programmes.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in learning.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCOs and pastoral teams to support pupil progress.
  • Create a nurturing, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or above (essential).

  • Experience working within a Primary School setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting child development and wellbeing.
  • Understanding of SEND, Autism, ADHD, SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Additional qualifications in Education, Childcare or Child Development are advantageous.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience and the requirements of the assignment.
