The Role
As our Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teaching and learning across the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting whole-class learning alongside the Year 3 class teacher
- Delivering structured phonics, reading, and maths interventions
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for pupils who need additional guidance
- Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

- Supporting pupils’ transition into Lower KS2 expectations
You will be working with pupils aged 7–8, helping them build confidence and develop strong foundational skills in literacy and numeracy.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a primary school setting (KS2 desirable)
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
- Has a calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Can confidently support English and Maths learning
- Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (advantageous but not essential)
- Has an enhanced DBS certificate (or is willing to obtain one)
