Hours: 8:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £107.70 – £120.40 per day

Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in North Sheffield to recruit dedicated full-time Teaching Assistants for September 2026. The school is looking to appoint Teaching Assistants to work across a range of roles, including both 1:1 support for individual pupils and general classroom support across KS3 and KS4. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and wants to play a key role in helping students achieve both academically and personally. Whether you have previous school experience in the UK or are a recent graduate looking to begin a career in education, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for students with additional learning or behavioural needs.
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
  • Work with small groups and whole classes to reinforce learning and encourage participation.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual student needs.
  • Encourage student independence, confidence, and engagement throughout the school day.
  • Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Work closely with teachers, SEND staff, and pastoral teams to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting students.
  • Confidence working both independently and as part of a wider school team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, sports coaches, and support workers are all encouraged to apply.
