  • Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner secondary schools in
  • South Yorkshire on a full-time, term-time basis, starting
  • September 2026

This is an excellent opportunity to support students both in the classroom and through targeted interventions, helping them to achieve their full potential.

You’ll work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to provide consistent support, encourage student engagement, and contribute to a positive learning environment.

Please note

Due to the location of the school, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Providing classroom support across KS3 and KS4 to ensure all students can access learning.
  • Assisting with the preparation and organisation of learning resources.
  • Supporting students with SEND or additional learning needs.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging student engagement in lessons.
  • Working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students’ academic and personal development.
  • Contributing to the wider school community where required.

Requirements or Skills

  • Recent experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school or educational setting.
  • A patient, calm, and positive approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
  • Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential).

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Graduates, aspiring teachers with UK experience, and those considering a long‑term career in education are encouraged to apply.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
