Milk Education are seeking a passionate, fluent, and resilient Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join a forward-thinking department in a Secondary school in South Yorkshire. The role will involve teaching KS3 and KS4 MFL, delivering engaging lessons in languages (depending on specialism). This is a full-time position starting in September, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality MFL lessons in line with the national curriculum and exam specifications
  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in the target language
  • Promote cultural awareness and understanding of countries where the language is spoken
  • Use assessment data to track progress and adapt teaching to meet learner needs
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations, including speaking assessments
  • Encourage confidence and communication in a foreign language
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and student outcomes
  • Uphold the values and standards of Milk Education and our partner schools

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in Modern Foreign Languages – able to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
  • Fluency in at least one target language (e.g. French, Spanish, or German)
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Good subject knowledge of grammar, vocabulary, and exam requirements
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education)
