We are seeking a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Working alongside teachers and support staff, you will help pupils access learning, develop independence, and achieve their individual goals in a safe and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning activities.
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
- Monitor and record pupil progress.
- Help maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably with SEND.
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Previous experience in a SEND setting and a Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable but not essential.
