SEN Teacher – Stockton-on-Tees
Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools and specialist settings across Stockton-on-Tees and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN Teachers to join schools from September 2026.

You’ll play a vital role in delivering personalised learning, supporting pupils with additional needs, and creating an inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Adapt the curriculum to support pupils with SEND.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress.
- Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and learning needs.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants and support staff.
- Implement strategies from EHCPs and individual support plans.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and professionals.
- Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs where required.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and classroom practice.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND is desirable.
- Strong understanding of SEND practices and inclusive teaching.
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH or complex needs is advantageous.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach.
- Passion for making a positive difference to children’s lives.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
