We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Learning Support Assistant to join our primary school team from September. You will be working closely with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), supporting their educational, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASD and PMLD
Assist in delivering individual learning plans and adapting resources
Support children with personal care needs where required
Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure consistent support
Use strategies to encourage independence, communication, and engagement
Requirements
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and/or PMLD
Understanding of autism strategies, sensory needs, and communication aids (e.g. PECS, Makaton β desirable but not essential)
Patience, empathy, and a positive, proactive attitude
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
