The predicted salary is between 31500 - 38500 Β£ per year.

Milk Education is seeking dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to work across schools in the Chester-le-Street area. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, support pupils of varying abilities, and help maintain a calm, positive learning environment where every student feels motivated to succeed.

You will work closely with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning across a range of subjects and year groups.

Location: Durham

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Flexible supply work available)

Pay: Β£150 – Β£265 per day (dependent on experience)

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A proactive, professional attitude with a commitment to inclusive education
  • Ability to provide two recent references

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3–KS5 (or within your subject specialism)
  • Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment
  • Support pupils’ academic progress and engagement
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour management
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress where required
