Milk Education is seeking a dedicated Secondary History Teacher to work in a secondary school in the South Tyneside area to start in September. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver engaging History lessons, support pupils of varying abilities, and help maintain a calm, positive learning environment where every student feels motivated to succeed. You will work closely with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning across KS3–KS5 History.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent; ECTs welcome to apply
- Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive, professional attitude with a commitment to inclusive education
- Ability to provide two recent references
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned History lessons across KS3–KS5
- Create and maintain a positive, structured learning environment
- Support pupils’ academic progress and engagement in History
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of learning needs
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management
- Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity of learning
- Provide feedback on pupil progress where required
